Detective Rick Nanan presented Hands of Hope Award at Annual Gala Honoring Victims of Child Abuse
Detective Rick Nanan, Manchester Police Department, was presented with the Hands of Hope Award at the Child Advocacy Center’s annual gala on April end. Working with City children since 1999, Detective Nana currently serves as a CHASE investigator specializing in child abuse and sexual exploitation cases. Detective Nanan was recognized for his keen investigative skills and knowledge about children and resources available for them in the City of Manchester. Mayor Gatsas was on hand to congratulate Detective Nanan for his dedication to helping child victims. Detective Nanan was part of the task force that brought the Child Advocacy Center to the City of Nashua.
With facilities in Nashua and Manchester, the CAC provides forensic interviews and support services to more than 600 children each year, with more than 2,500 served since opening in 2005. Maria Gagnon, Executive Director of the CAC, presented Detective Nanan with the Hands of Hope award saying, “The CAC is fortunate to have detectives like Rick Nanan on our team. Because of him, children are protected and justice is sought from their offenders. Detective Nanan is known around the City as the ‘go to guy,’ he is a tremendous resource to all who know him.
