N-Step Youth Dancers Host Benefit for Child Victims of Crime

The seventh annual Dance for a Chance, hosted by N-Step Dance Center, was held on Sunday, May 22nd at Bedford High School, raising more than $6,000 for child victims of crime.  The N-Step Competition Team performed at this special event to benefit the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County.

With nearly two hundred children from across Southern New Hampshire enrolled at N-Step Dance Center, owner Jackie Lemoine stresses the importance of educating her dancers about child abuse prevention.  Ms. Lemoine says, “Our children are at risk of child abuse and need to know how to keep their bodies safe.  This is an issue that impacts children right here at the dance studio. I want to instill a sense of safety and the value of community service in our dancers.  Our dancers have the opportunity to give back to the community, to those less fortunate, and I believe they can do this through charitable acts.”

Nearly one hundred guests joined the N-Step Competition Team dancers at this special performance; enjoying the choreography, talent and charisma of the dancers who work so hard to make a difference in their community.

The Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County offers support and services to child victims of crimes such as sexual and physical abuse.  Since opening in 2004, the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County has served more than 2500 children.  For more information about the Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County please visit their website at www.cac-nh.org.
